He is survived by: his wife Mary Herr; his children, Holly Smith and Adam Benn; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Daniel), Kristine Ebersol (Thornsen), Robert Thomas Thornsen, Brianna Rose Thornsen and William Charles Smith; and his siblings, Timothy "Timmy" Reynolds (Rachel) and Deadra Johnson (Tim).
