He was predeceased by: his parents, Kit Thomas and Olive Thomas (Bronson); his wife Barbara Loy; and the mother of his children Ellen Best. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Deardorf of Choctaw, OK and Phillip Thomas of Manson, WA; his stepchildren, Lisa Wingfield of Parkersburg, WV, Kenneth Gabbard of Richland, MI and Elizabeth Gabbard of Indianapolis, IN; and his sister Barbara Betzhold of Clinton, WI.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
