He was predeceased by: his mothers, Leanna Carter, Sr. (Collins) and Mary Frances Carter (Carpenter); and his siblings, Fred, Ed, James, John, Leonard, Sterling Carter and Mary Lessie Carter Bradley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony L. Carter of Elkhart, J. C. Carter (Lula) of Elkhart, Jessie Carter of Elkhart and Leonteen Henderson of South Bend; and his grandchildren, Erik Michael and Brooke Nicole Carter. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and good friends.
