He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse Lawrence and Ida Mae Lawrence (Fatheree); and his siblings, Larry, Jerry Lawrence, Rhonda Edgington, Laura Lawrence, Regina Stanford and Peggy Blair.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Lawrence (Taylor); his sons, Timothy and Matthew; his granddaughter Mya; and his adoptive daughter Rebecca Holmes. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
