It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin Shimek Jr. (Evansville, Indiana), who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Rose M. Shimek; his parents, Mary Reed and Alvin Joseph Shimek; and his brother Charles Ray Kimmel. He is survived by: his son Chanse Shimek; his stepsons, Jesse Wininger and Tom Mays; his grandchildren, Taylor and Jayden Shimek; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Anderson and Beck; his brother Wade Batton; and his pet Cletus.

Contributions may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
