He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Andy Joe and Neva Clayton (Cherry); his wife Nancy; his children, Arbin "Butch" Clayton Jr. (Laura), Monica Lasky, Karen Taylor, Debbie Welsoh and Terry Clayton; his stepchildren, Renea Morris (Chad), Ray Bingman (Lora) and Sherry Bingman (Scott); his siblings, Joe Clayton, Jerry Clayton (Betty) and Joan Lutz; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Lutz and Charlotte Clayton. He was also cherished by 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to Evansville Rescue Mission or Life Tabernacle Church.
