With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Janice (Knight) Cosgrove of Evansville, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara Janice left this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Knight and Mary Helen Knight (Oakley); her husband Dr. Stephen A. Cosgrove; her children, Dr. Susan Cosgrove and Stephen Cosgrove, Jr.; and her son-in-law Wayne Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy Wright, Michelle Funk-Niemeier (Gary), Shannon Jones (Jeff), Dr. Mary Jane Gibson (Scott) and John Cosgrove (Missy); her grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Stroud (Brandon), Zoe Funk-Niemeier, Justine Valliquette (Rich), Ursula Smith, Nichole Batiz, Sadie Cosgrove, Sally Doughty (Jason), Sam Cosgrove (Rachel), Maggie Gebhardt (Tyler), Sarah Wilson (Reggie), Emma Cosgrove and Olivia Gibson; and her son-in-law Dr. Robert Smith. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Browning Funeral Home (738 E Diamond Ave, Evansville, IN 47711). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
