He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol Ann Fox Kittinger; his sister Pat Kittinger Trautmann Ginther; and his nephew David Trautmann. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Mary K. Hermann Kittinger; his brother Paul L. Kittinger (Barbara) of Hillard, OH; his nephews, Andrew and Matthew Trautmann; his brothers-in-law, Dr. Ronald Fox (Carole) of Decorah, IA and Gerald Fox (Lori) of Jeffersonville, IN; and his nieces, Kelly, Jenny, Kari, Kami and Kori. He is also survived by her children and granddaughters.

Due to the pandemic, there will not be a visitation or funeral service at this time.
