He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thomas and Helen Thomas (Vaught); and his brother Joey Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Joyce "Susie" Thomas (Hudson); his sons, Alan Roberson (Melody), Michael Roberson (Kristi) and Robert Roberson (Melisa); his grandchildren, Matthew Roberson (Caroline), Zack Roberson (Rachel), Logan Roberson, Amanda Nosko (Dustin), Danielle Roberson (Damon), Macenzie Schweister (Sam), Holly and Jesse; his sister-in-law Courtney Bothams (Ken); his sibling's children, Merett Bacon and Jordan Thomas; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Powell and David Hudson (Linda). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
