She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Opperman and Regina Opperman; her uncle Oscar; her aunt Esther Opperman; her husband Charles Hammond; and her grandson Jonathan Pfender.
She is survived by: her children, Vicky Frey, Amy Elder (Roy), Joy Nelson (Bill Crowe), Jeffery Hammond (Peggy), Gregory Hammond and Rodney Hammond (Mindy); her grandchildren, Charles Frey, Jr., Christopher Frey (Rachel Crouch), Joshua Hammond-Kelley (Patricia), Macey Hammond, Zachary Nelson (Codie), Kyle Nelson (Tori), Wendy Jones (Joey), Tim Pfender, Jacob Ivey, Logan Ivey (Marchantia) and Tyler Ivey; and her caregivers, Joy Reidford, Terri Swain and Bille Simmons. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
