He was predeceased by: his parents, William Barnett and Mabel Barnett (Williams); and his brother Kenneth Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Barnett; his children, Jessica Campbell (Scott) and Damon Barnett (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Emory, Asher Campbell and Nash Barnett; his brother William Barnett; his half-sister Charlotte Evans; and his sibling's children, Karen Becher (Stephen) and Jim Barnett (Heidi). He is also survived by 3 great-nephews.
