She was predeceased by : her husband Harold; her parent Bessie Owen; her brother Louis Estil Owen; her son Alfred Stanley Higginbotham; and her daughters-in-law, Shirley Higginbotham and Jeanne Higginbotham.

She is survived by : her son Edward Higginbotham; and her grandchildren, Robert Higginbotham, Angela South (Jeff) and Eyde Arndell. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.
