She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis C. Gilpin and Edna Gilpin (Wilson); her former husband Leroy Emerson; her husband Walter Worthington; her siblings, Sue Wall and Lewis Colman Gilpin, Jr.; her granddaughter Christie; and also Paul Gilpin.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Collins (John) of Kentucky, Angela Newbury (Jeff) of Minnesota, Emerson St. John, Jamie Belcher of Indiana, Lawrence Emerson (Kathy) of Kentucky and Frankie Emerson (Lisa) of Kentucky; her sisters, Jenny Marcum (Bob) of Ohio and Paulene Sharp (Randall) of Kentucky; her grandchildren, Kathy Emerson, Glenda Magee (Roy), Tonya Smith (Eddie), Amy Curtsinger, Bradley Emerson (Alsiha), Walter Newbury, Jeffery Newbury, Amanda Peyton (Garnett) and Renea Arnold; and her siblings-in-law, Sherill Wall and Sonja Gilpin. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
