With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gailespa E. Brooks (Evansville, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Lucille (Tate) and Thomas Brooks; his wife Lucy Mae Brooks; his daughter Pamela Frye; and his sister Georgie Butler.
He is survived by: his children, Starla Crowe, Krista Gilbert, Connie Sutton, Anita Sims and LaBlount Brooks; and his sister Gonzella Brooks-Honore. He is also survived by several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Hope Christian Church (1228 Lodge Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Alexander Memorial Park (2200 Mesker Park Dr, Evansville, IN 47720).
