He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Casteel and Sylvia Maurer; his son Keith Castros; and his sisters, Jackie Smith and Debbie Corey.
He is survived by: his children, Natalie Fischer (Zach), Tisha Maurer (Demitris Nelson), Hailee Maurer, Kevin Maurer, Kyle Maurer, Kody Maurer (Morgan) and Kole Maurer; his siblings, Becky Pate (Tim), Linda Dennis, Larry Maurer (Barbara) and Rick Harris; and his close friend Penny Castros. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.
