He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Hicks and Hazel Hicks; his wife Roxanne Hicks (Massie); his children, Paula, Carrie Hicks, Jeremy and Jason Hicks; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Cooper, Dylan Hicks and Andrew Ball.
