He was predeceased by: his parents, Della Mae Johnson and Hurbert Lee Johnson; and his sister Tonya Yvonne Johnson. He is survived by: his siblings, Ruby Lee Johnson, Ella Mae Stewart (Noyal), Mary Allison Dixon (Kenneth) of Henderson, KY, Herbut Lee Johnson (Thelma) of Henderson, KY and Terry Johnson of Dallas, TX; and his children, Torren Gathings and Kiera Gathings of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A mask is required at all services and social distancing will be observed. Due to Kentucky laws regarding Covid 19, no more than 25 attendees will be permitted in the building at one time for funerals and visitations.
