He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Mastison, Sr. and M. "Irene" Mastison (Dexter); and his sisters, Kim Mastison and Sally Rager. He is survived by: his wife Robyn Lynne Mastison (Adcock); his children, David Mastison (Amanda) and Krystal Hebbeler (Greg); his brother Mark Mastison (Cathy); and his grandchildren, Jordyn Benson (Bradin), Mykah Brown, Hayden Mastison, Gage Mastison and Cam Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Evansville Firefighter Foundation at 2322 E. Division Street, Evansville, IN 47711.
