He was predeceased by: his half-siblings, Gilford Burns, Cathy Burns, Phoebe Burns and Shirley Burns; and his aunts, Agnes, Alice, Dorothy and Marjorie.

He is survived by: his brother Steve Kirk'; and his half-siblings, Johnny Burns, Keith Burns and Patty Cooper.
