He was predeceased by: his son Robert Stark; and his granddaughter Brooke "Brookie" Turpen. He is survived by: his wife Margie Stark (Cox); his children, James R. Stark Jr., Willard E. Stark (Tracy), Carrie L. Turpen (Scott) and Sherry L. Schnell (Gary); and his grandchildren, Shannon, Lacey, Ashley, Wesley, Brittney, Brandy, Briana, Kenny, Kaitlyn, Sly and Wiley. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Howell General Baptist Church 1520 Delmar Ave, Evansville, IN 47712.
