She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Painter and Southeastern of Ohio; the father of her children Jim Sellers; her siblings, Bonnie Lamey and Wilbur Via; and her brother-in-law John Folk.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Anne Cowgill (Michael), Joan Esterline (Peter), Rachel Riggs (Mark) and Matthew Sellers (Jo-Elle); her grandchildren, Megan Englebrecht (Jon), Jacob Riggs, Lucas Riggs, Katherine Esterline, Henry Cowgill, Daisy Cowgill and Levi Riggs; her great grandchildren, Max Bingham and James Bingham; her siblings, Rita Folk of Riverview, FL, Alice Via of Cave Junction, OR and Toby Via (Natalie) of Sardenia, OH; her sister-in-law Debbie Via of Wellston, OH; and her friend Barrie Owen of Cincinnati, OH..
