He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie F. Walker and Mossie M. Walker (Majors); his wife Patsy D. Walker (Durbin); his siblings, Sunday Piper, Doug Walker and William Walker; and his grandson Daniel Lorenz.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmie Walker, Jr. (Jacquelyn), Karen Stilwell and Sheila De Armond; his brother Robert Walker; and his grandson-in-law Glenn Vandever III. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
