It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie Franklin of Evansville, Indiana, born in Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob C. Birchler and Mary Elizabeth "Marie" Birchler (Vonderschmidt); her husband William D. Franklin, Jr.; and her siblings, Shirley D. Panus and Robert L. Birchler.
She is survived by: her children, William D. Franklin, III (Beth) of Newburgh, IN, John Franklin (Nancy) of Cary, NC, Joseph Franklin of Evansville, IN, Anne Marie Franklin (Michael Flak) of Southlake, TX and Kathleen Peterson (Jay) of Savage, MN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
