He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph, Sr. Hofmann and Lucille Catherine Hofmann (Hahn); and his half-brother Frederick Spieker. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Head (Michl); his children, Melissa Turpin (Tommy), Michael Head (Susan) of Evansville, Mark Head (Kathy) of Evansville, Matthew Head (Kim) of Evansville, Mitchell Head of Evansville and Steven Anderson (Nancy); his siblings, Judy Valentine and Bernard Head (Suzie); and his grandchildren, Christopher Head (Kristen), Laura Green (Ben), Andrew Head (Katharyn), Jana Head, Joseph Head, Alexis Head, Logan Turpin (Kris) and Emily Turpin. He is also survived by five great granddaughters and a great grandson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Big Blue Boosters or to the Westside Nut Club Foundation.
