She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert McCarty and Hazel (Wilburn); her sons, Ronnie Foster and Kelly Foster; and her siblings, Roberta McCorkle, Saundra Schneider, Charles McCarty and George "Red" McCarty.

She is survived by: her granddaughters, Kelsey Foster, Kadie Foster, Holly Foster and Haley Foster; her sisters, Bonnie Steward (Adams) and Deborah Kincade (Jack); and her former husband John Foster.
