She was predeceased by: her parents, Lola Nelontyne (White) and Harry Lloyd Ewing; her husband Delbert Merimee; her brothers, Harry Ewing and Jonathan Ewing (J. D.); and her brothers-in-law, Junior Phillips and Michael Berry.

She is survived by: her daughter Lola Ellen Merimee; her grandson Cole Allen Foster; and her siblings, Janelda Phillips, Jovita Daniels (Jim), Charlyne Ewing, Tyna Ewing and Charles Ewing. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
