She is survived by: her children, Peggie Thomas, Wayne, Johnny Thomas, Terry and Teddy Cosby; and her siblings, Norman Carter, Markie Carter, Ray Carter (Sherry), Bessie Payne, Mildred Compton (Joe), Susan King (Michael), Mary Thomas and Betty Carter. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren.
