With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Justina Garcia Rivera of Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by : her parents, Melesio Garcia and Juana Rivera; and her siblings, Irma Garcia, Macaria Garcia and Ismael Garcia.

She is survived by : her husband Santiago Yanez; her children, Melesio Yanez (Jennifer), José Yanez (Adela), Carmen Perez (Gelesio), Gloria Yanez (José), Cecelio Yanez, Antonia Yanez (Necel), Amelia Ray (Larry), Justina Yanez (Octaviano), Noe Yanez, Bernabe Yanez (Silvia), Santiago Yanez (Guadalupe) and Carlos Yanez (Brandi); and her siblings, Leticia Garcia (Juan), Dolores Garcia, Antonio Garcia and Bernabe Garcia. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home (5330 Washington Ave, Evansville, IN 47715). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Washington Avenue (5330 Washington Ave, Evansville, IN 47715).
