He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Knapp and Katherine Knapp (Gastenveld); and his siblings, Lambert John and Sharon Hoffman. He is survived by: his sibling's children, Kathy Sollman (Dan), Gregory Hoffman, Scott Hoffman, Mark Hoffman (Laura), Joshua Sollman, Brittany Sollman and Sydney Hoffman; his brother-in-law Lee Hoffman; and his caregiver Carol Russler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Annunciation Catholic Parish-Christ the King Church (3010 E Chandler Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Benedict Cathedral (1328 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery N West.
