She was predeceased by: her husband Wilburn John Schmidt; her parents, Herbert Grimwood and Bessie J Grimwood (Holley) of Evansville, IN; her siblings, Ruby Neumaster of Evansville and Oscar Grimwood of Evansville, IN; and her close friend Ray Lindsey of Dale, IN..

She is survived by: her sister Bessie June DeWeese of Evansville; her sons, Jerry (Shirley) of Madisonville, KY and Darwin (Karen) of Bloomington, IN; and her granddaughters, Angie Miller (Greg) of Rumsey, KY, Amy Adams (Shawn) of Madisonville, KY, Medea Cornwell (Marty) of Bloomington, IN, Alletah Schmidt of Bloomington, IN and Autumn Pierce (Dan) of Bloomington, IN. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandsons.
