He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Heston and Evadine Heston; his wife Edna Kennedy; his daughter Kathy Abbott (David); his grandchildren, Christy Alvey (John), Julia Condict (Curt) of Zionsville and Alex Abbott (Erin); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Joel Alvey, Elise, Grant Condict, Austin, Grace, Elizabeth and Ruth Abbott; his daughter Jan Stiver (Phil); his granddaughters, Anna Lockhart (Andy) of Raleigh, Sarah Hubert (Adam) and Becca Clark (Jason) of Gilbert; his great grandchildren, Graham, Loey, Tucker, Emmalee Hubert, Xander and Paxton Clark; and his siblings, Joseph Heston of Sacramento and Mary Ellen Hopson of Evansville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Christian Fellowship Church or The Evansville Rescue Mission.
