He is survived by: his mother Alice Akin (Coomer); his children, Kathrine Wall (Greg), Kaycee Hawkins (Travis) and Austin Akin (Tamara); his brother James Akin (Regina); and his grandchildren, Olivia, Ella Jane, Penelope, Raylee, Leo, Bentley, Kyleigh and Avery.
