He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvera Pritchett (Tenbarge) and Raymond U. Pritchett; his wife Helen Lou Pritchett (Wallace); his stepdaughter Debra Critchlow; and his sister Joyce Anne DeVillez.

He is survived by: his children, Rita Harper (Bobby), Michael Pritchett (Carla), Raymond W. Pritchett (Jana) and Steven Pritchett (Nikki); his grandchildren, Stephanie Marchino (Lenny), Erin McCormack (James), Alyson Elliott (Sam), Rachel Harper, Justin Harper (Elyse), Michael Pritchett, Kristina Pritchett, Andrea Brooks (David), Alex Pritchett (Ashley), Chloe Jewell (Jacob), Grace Pritchett and Sarah Pritchett; and his stepdaughter Elizabeth Dowling. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
