He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Caldwell (Kafferburg) and John Caldwell; his wife Bertha M. Caldwell; and his siblings, George, Charlie Caldwell, Marion Gish, Linda Erving and Patricia Caldwell.

He is survived by: his children, Brenda Caldwell (Ronald Beuner, Jr.) and Terry Lee Caldwell, Sr.; his grandchildren, Christina Caldwell, Lee Ann Blunk, Nichole Caldwell and Terry Lee Caldwell, Jr.; and his siblings, Lewis Caldwell, Nancy Folsom and Mary Ballard. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
