He was predeceased by: his parents, C. M. "Red" and Josephine Schuster (Chappell); and his sister Sharon Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Kim Schuster (Johnson); his daughters, Laura Jo Schuster of Evansville, IN and Cara Schuster of Evansville, IN; and his siblings, Sandra Alldredge of Mt. Vernon, IN and Lonnie Schuster (Nancy) of Spring, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James A. Byers Athletic Student Scholarship, 1800 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47722 or to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Cr., Chicago, IL 60674.
