She was predeceased by: her father Henry Avers; her husband Irvin Groeninger; and her siblings, Henrietta Rumade and Henry Alvers. She is survived by: her children, Vince Peckinpaugh (Jeri), Stephen Peckinpaugh, Irvin "Bud" Groeninger II, Roselina Messamore (Charles), Krista Dunkerson and Terry Groeninger; and her sisters, Susie Rose and Annie Brown. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
