He is survived by: his wife Arvell (Croft); his grandchildren, Hope (Richard), Hayden and Holden; his children, Dennis Sargent (Faith) and Kelly Gates (Don Shymanski); his grandchildren, Grace, Tess, Megan (Cavin) and David; his son Jeff Gates; and his grandsons, Nathan and Evan.
