He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Jacob and Loyola Mary Kirsch (Wolf); his son Timothy Kirsch; and his siblings, Elizabeth Tucker and Michael Kirsch.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Kirsch (Wolf); his children, Cathy Nelson (Chris), Sarah Holland (Michael), Maria McClure (Daniel), Charlene Nolen (Philip), Joanna Vandendorpe (Mark), Elizabeth Kirsch, Ravena Dowell, Thomas Kirsch, II (Amy), Matthew Kirsch (Cindy) and Lucas Kirsch (Andrea); his siblings, Loyola Mary Kirsch, Charles Kirsch (Judy), Bernard Kirsch (Pam), Joseph Kirsch (Beth), Robert Kirsch and Gerard "Tony" Kirsch (Donna); and his siblings-in-law, Susan Kirsch and Donald Tucker. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren, one great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Posey County Right to Life, Riley Children's Hospital or to St. Philip Catholic Church.
