Walter John Wetzel Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Walter John Wetzel (Evansville, Indiana), who passed away at the age of 84, on December 4, 2020. He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Wetzel; his son John Stephen Wetzel; and his granddaughter Kathryn Elizabeth Currier. He is survived by: his wife Susan Wetzel; his daughters, Elizabeth W. Currier (David) and Eleanor Karges Wetzel-Haley (Kevin); his grandsons, David "Clark" Currier and John Stephen Currier; and his sister Joann Schwentker.

The family thanks the staff at North River, where he was a resident the past few years, for the care and love they showed John as well as the nurses at the Deaconess COVID-19 Unit for their compassionate care during his last days.
