He was predeceased by: his parents, William Moses Maggard and Sally Maggard (Stiden); his wife Joyce Cavins; his son Paul Jr. (Martha); his siblings, Charles, George, Arnold, Astor, William, Jimmy and Beulah; his daughter Patricia Maggard; his children-in-law, Fred Hatton and Donna Maggard; and his granddaughters, Loretta Jefferies and Jennifer Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Maggard (Rhonda) of Fairmount, Tim Maggard of Fairmount, Angela Hatton of Fairmount and Sabrina (Jack); and his brothers, Sam Maggard (Mary) and Don Maggard (Vicki). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
