With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip Leisure of Fairmount, Indiana, born in Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2021 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phillip Leisure to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Max W. Leisure and Janiece Leisure (Jarvis); and his sisters, Bonnie Lou Leisure and Susan D. Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Holschuh-Leisure (Taylor) of Fairmount; his children, Dr. Sara Cox (Scott) of Arcadia, Kelly Rust (Mike) of New Braunfels, TX and Taylor Leisure (Elizabeth) of Fairmount; his stepchildren, Carrie Holschuh of San Francisco, CA, Ildiko Holschuh-Therneau (Adam) of Minneapolis, MN and Arno Holschuh (Lily) of Berkley, CA; his grandchildren, Kathryn Cox, Nathan Cox, Abigail Rust, Jackson Rust, Ramona Jacobson, Adalu Jacobson, Cora Therneau, Remi Therneau, Sonora Holschuh and Meadow Holschuh; and his sibling's children, Brian Gordon, Joe Gordon and Suzanne Gordon.
The family requests precautions for health and safety be followed including face masks and social distancing. Burial of Phil's ashes will take place privately at the Knox Chapel Cemetery in rural Fairmount.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Christian Church through the funeral home.
