He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Gunning and Mildred Gunning (Hutcherson); his sisters, Donna Gunning and Mary Patterson; and his brothers-in-law, Maurice Patterson and Charles Keller.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Gunning (Leisure) of Fairmount; his sons, David Gunning (Angela) of Fairmount and Mark Gunning (Lisa) of Upland; his siblings, Bonnie Keller Muncie and Richard Gunning (Dorothy) of Elwood; his grandchildren, Derek Gunning, Wesley Gunning, Abbey Gunning, Luke Gunning, Marissa Gunning, Michaela Gunning and Logan Gunning; his great grandchildren, Madyson Gunning, Tate Gunning and Bentley Gunning; and his friends, Phil Leisure and Bob Jarvis.
