He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Ritter and Thelma Ritter (Davis); his wife Delores Netherton; his daughter Karen Sue; his brother William Ritter; his parents-in-law, Ambrose and Ruby Netherton; and his siblings-in-law, Truman Netherton, James Netherton, Butch Netherton, Jack Goodnight, Jim Garst, Terry Stout, Michel Bess, Chris Peters, Buina Garst, Ailine Bauer, Opal Ritter, Jackie Copas and Diane Stout.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Lou Cromwell (John) of Nevada, IN, Michael Ritter (Beth) of Marion, IN, Elizabeth Richard of Fairmount, IN and Richard Ritter (Robin) of Sharpsville, IN; his grandchildren, Adria Amos (Terry), Jessica Cromwell of Windfall, Benjamin Cromwell (Amber) of Russiaville, Stephanie of Georgia, Sarah Cox (Jacob) of Sharpsville, IN and Samuel Ritter (Bianca) of California; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Aubryn, Carolyn, Kaitlyn of Windfall, IN, Shelby, Owen of Russiaville, IN, Sophia, Olivia Cox of Sharpsville, IN and Kenneth of California; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Netherton of Tipton County, Larry Netherton (Norma) of Windfall, IN, Charles Copas of Elwood, Darlene Peters of Atlanta, Debbie Bess of Windfall, IN and Judy Netherton of Kokomo. He is also survived by children said, the grandchildren wore halos but when the great-grandchildren.
