He is survived by: his parents, Harry Purvis and Dessie Purvis (Stabler); his sons, Daniel Purvis, Jr. (Cynthia), John Purvis (Carla) and David Purvis; his spouse Ruth Price; his former wife Betty Kumming Purvis; and his siblings, Harry Purvis, Charles Purvis and Kathleen Wherry. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
