He was predeceased by: his parent Homer Byrd; and his children, Jim Byrd and Linda Byrd. He is survived by: his parent Juanita Byrd (Moser); his wife Alice; his children, Donald G. Byrd (Melody), Thomas T. Byrd (Cindy) and Janice Brown (Dan) of Columbia City; his stepchildren, Keith Muncie (Paula) of Fort Wayne and Pamela Bauer (Bruce) of Fort Wayne; and his siblings, Jack H. Byrd (Sue) of Fort Wayne and Ramona Staley (Richard) of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
