He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell L. Poorman and Princess Poorman (May); his wife Janet D. Poorman (Myers); his granddaughter Trisha Jean; his son-in-law Larry D. McGinnis; and his sister Beverly Fleck.

He is survived by: his children, Donald Poorman II (Theresa) and Sherry McGinnis; his grandchildren, Sara, Becca, Mariah (Joe), Heather (Joe), Matt (Stephanie), Adam (Sarah) and Lance; his great grandchildren, Joey, Logan, Tristan, Ivy, Megan, Clara, Emily, George, Alison, Skye, Jonathan, Jayson and Tyce; and his brother Allen Poorman (Meredith).

Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
