He was predeceased by: his parent Stanley Benedict Barchak. He is survived by: his parent Helen Bensko Barchak; his wife Sheila Swinehart Barchak; his children, Christine Bauer of Fort Wayne, John Barchak, Jr. of Surprise, Nicholas Barchak (Angie) of Fort Wayne and Alan Barchak of Westland; his stepchildren, John Swinehart (Mary) of Fort Wayne, Margaret Ferguson (Tim) of Petersburg, Mary Jo Peters (Andy) of Fort Wayne, David Swinehart (Tanya) of Fort Wayne, Susan Witte (Greg) of Fort Wayne, Tom Swinehart (Suzi) of Fort Wayne and Cecelia Lockner (John) of Boston; and his siblings, Betty Ann Pyscher of Michigan and Stanley Ray Barchak of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 step-grandchildren.
