He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Fretz and Helen Fretz (Chorpening); and his son Shawn Fretz. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Weaver; his children, Shelley Ladd (Tim Williams) of Auburn and Adam Fretz (Tracey Rowlett) of Fort Wayne; his siblings, Larry Fretz (Mary Ellen) of Mississippi, Marsha Stoy (Rodney) of Hamilton, Russ Fretz (Lois) of Ashley and Victor Fretz of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Taylor Ladd of Michigan and Amanda Ladd of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
