With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joshua James Thornton of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joshua left this world on April 20, 2024 at the age of 40, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Joshua departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of our hearts. Though Joshua may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by : his father Ricky Lynn Thornton; and his grandparents, James Phillips, Thelma Marcum, Corley and Polly Thornton.

He is survived by : his mother Frances "Irene" Thornton (Phillips); and his siblings, Jason Thornton (Wendy), Dustin Thornton (Julie McCoy) and Melissa Parish (Mark). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
