It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laurie A. Girod of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 5, 2020, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Everette Barton and Joann Barton (Gruner). She is survived by : her husband Dr. Robert Girod; her sons, Joshua D. Slaughter (Pax River, MD) and Robert J. D. "Bobby" Girod of Fishers; her grandsons, Alexander, Gregory and Theodore Slaughter; her brothers, Donald Temple (Sharice) of Fishers, Edward Temple (Sherry) of Indianapolis and Michael Barton of Greenwood; and her mother-in-law Carolyn Neely of Bluffton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
